Corendon has unveiled a world first: the very first fully “tattooed” airplane. To celebrate its 25th anniversary, the travel organization collaborated with tattoo legend Henk Schiffmacher on this unique art project. He designed a tattoo that covers almost the entire fuselage of a Boeing 737-MAX9—about 200 square meters. A flying tribute to travel and discovery.

The aircraft is named Sweet Louise, after the artist’s wife. The design is inspired by classic old-school sailor tattoos: hearts, birds, and symbols that evoke the feeling of home. It marks a special milestone in the career of Henk Schiffmacher, who has tattooed world-famous stars such as Lady Gaga, Kurt Cobain, Adam Levine, and members of bands like Pearl Jam and the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
